Sanatın niteliğine yönelik tartışmalar güncelliğini koruyarak, çeşitli disiplinlerce tartışılmaktadır. Değişen ve dönüşen dünyada sanatın ne olduğuna yönelik anlayışlar da değişmekte, bu kapsamda yeni sanat anlayışları ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda yirminci yüzyılın önemli sanat felsefecisi Benedetto Croce’nin görüşlerinin, felsefe tarihindeki önemini ve yerini koruduğu söylenebilir. Croce’nin sanata ilişkin görüşleri kavramsal olarak idealist bir kapsamda değerlendirilebilir. Düşünüre göre sanat kısaca, sezginin ifade edilmesine dayanan, akılsal ve tekniğe dayalı olmayan bir edimdir. Ancak belki de Croce estetiğinin en çok ilgi gören konusu, her insanın sanatçı olduğunu dair savından ileri gelmektedir. Croce bu iddia ile, sanatçının özsel olarak özel bir konumda olmadığını, tüm insanlarda aynı sanatsal yaratım gücünün var olduğunu ve farkın yalnızca ifade gücünden ileri geldiğini söyler. Bu çalışmada Croce’nin bu iddiasının geçerliliği değerlendirilmeyecektir. Zira böyle bir temellendirme makalenin kapsamını aşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Croceci sanat anlayışının ana hatları açık edilmeye çalışılacak ve onun sanata ilişkin görüşleri analiz edilecektir. Croceci sanatın temelleri gösterildikten sonra, Türk edebiyatında büyük bir öneme sahip olan Türk şair Orhan Veli’nin sanat anlayışı ve şiirleri, Croce’nin sanat teması bağlamında değerlendirilecektir. Başka bir deyişle söylemek gerekirse, bir sanat felsefecisi olan Croce’nin sanata dair anlayışının, büyük bir sanatçının- Orhan Veli’nin- sanatı ile anlaşılması bu çalışmanın amacını oluşturmaktadır.

The debates on the quality of art are still up-to-date and are discussed by various disciplines. In the changing and transforming world, the understandings of what art is are also changing, and new understandings of art are emerging in this scope. In this context, it can be said that the views of the important art philosopher of the twentieth century, Benedetto Croce, preserve their importance and place in the history of philosophy. Croce’s views on art can be evaluated in an idealistic context. According to the thinker, in short, art is an act based on the expression of intuition, not rational and technical. However, perhaps the most interesting topic of Croce’s aesthetics comes from the assertion that every human being is an artist. With this claim, Croce says that the artist is not in an essentially special position, that all people have the same artistic creative power and that the difference comes only from the power of expression. In this study, the validity of Croce’s this claim will not be evaluated. Because such a justification is beyond the scope of the article. In this study, the main lines of the Crocecian understanding of art will be tried to be explained and his views on art will be analyzed. After showing the foundations of Croceian art, the understanding of art and poems of Turkish poet Orhan Veli, who has a great importance in Turkish literature, will be evaluated in the context of Croce’s art theme. In other words, this study aims understanding of Croce’s, who is an art philosopher, with the art of a great artist Orhan Veli.
