Hastaların giderek artan estetik beklentilerini karşılamak diş hekimlerinin en zorlu görevleri arasındadır. Zaman zaman sadece protetik veya implantolojik yaklaşımla tüm ihtiyaçlar karşılanamamaktadır. Özellikle konjenital lateral eksiklikleri ön bölge estetiğini sağlamakta zorluk çıkarabilmektedir. Bu durumda dişlerin ortodontik yöntemlerle ideal konumlarına getirilmesi hem daha koruyucu, hem de daha estetik sonuçlar vermektedir. Bu yazıda 35 yaşındaki erkek hastada daha önce yapılan tedavilerle tam olarak estetik şekilde giderilemeyen konjenital lateral eksikliği, multidisipliner bir yaklaşımla önce ortodontik olarak hazırlık yapıldıktan sonra, daha sonra üzerlerine sabit restorasyonlar yapılan implantlarla, giderilmiştir.

A MULTI DISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN OBTAINING MAXILLARY ANTERIOR ESTHETICS WITH ORTHODONTIC, IMPLANTOLOGICAL AND PROSTHETIC TREATMENT: A CASE REPORT

The esthetic demands of patients require often a multidisciplinary approach in dentistry. Implant restorations have become a primary treatment option for the replacement of congenitally missing lateral incisors. The central incisor and canine often erupt in less than optimal positions adjacent to the edentulous lateral incisor space, and therefore preprosthetic orthodontic treatment is frequently required. In cases with reduced interdental space the ideal treatment choice is orthodontic management. This article describes the clinical procedures including orthodontics, dental implants and prosthodontics, performed on a 35 year old male patient.
