Surgically Assisted Unilaterel Maxillary expansion: A Case Report

Rapid maxillary expansion is a treatment routine for growing patients with transversal maxillary deficiency. Conventional surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion may lead to unwanted buccal expansion in the normal side of the patients suffering from unilateral buccal crossbite. In the current case, osteotomy was applied to the side with buccal cross-bite, but the side with normal occlusion remained intact. Therefore, without forming any change on the side with normal occlusion, unilateral cross-bite was corrected
