Isolation and Identification of Vibrio Spp. From Bivalvia Spp. Which are Exported by Turkey

In this resarch, Vibrio spp., causing infections in humans as a result of contamination, were isolated and identificated from the costs of Aegean and Marmara Seas in which Bivalvia species have been cultured. The material of this research was a total of 958 Bivalvia spp., chosen from 6 Bivalvia species which have been produced in regions of Aegean and Marmara Seas were investigated by bacteriologically. Totally 35 Vibrio spp. were identified by phenotypic tests, with a majority, V.paraheamolyticus and V.alginolyticus were isolated from samples. These microorganisms, detected in this project, were densely determined in the costs of Aegean and Marmara Seas lines.
