Kimya, Petrol, Plastik Sektöründeki Firmalarda 1. ve 2. Ulusal Pazar Açısından Entelektüel Sermaye Kullanım Etkinliği ve Pazar Performansı İlişkisi

Firmaların mevcut varlıkları ile yüksek değerli ürünve hizmet yaratabilmeleri ve sunabilmeleri içinentelektüel sermaye yatırımına ve etkin kullanımınaönem vermeleri gerekir. Bu çalışmanın amacı,Türkiyenin ekonomik kalkınma sürecinde önemli birrol oynayan Kimya, Petrol, Plastik sektöründe,entelektüel sermaye kullanım etkinliğininbelirlenmesi, farklı pazar yapılarına tabi veyabüyüklüklerdeki firmalardan oluşan gruplararasındaki entelektüel sermaye kullanım etkinliği vepazar değerliliği farklılıklarının test edilmesidir.Çalışmada, Borsa İstanbulda listelenmiş, Kimya,Petrol, Plastik sektöründe faaliyet gösterenfirmaların 2006-2012 yılları için entelektüel sermayekullanım performansı VAIC (Value AddedIntellectual Coefficient) yaklaşımındanfaydalanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmanınsonucunda, Kimya, Petrol, Plastik sektöründekifarklı grupların entelektüel sermaye kullanımetkinliği arasında bir fark bulunamamıştır. Farklıgruplar için, firmaların pazar performansıyla ilişkiliolan entelektüel sermaye bileşenleri arasındafarklılık gözlenmiştir.

An Examination of Intellectual Capital Efficiency and Market Perf ormance Relationship in Terms of First and Second National Market f or Firms Operating in Turkish Chemicals, Petroleum, Plastic Products Industry

The aim of this study is to determine the intellectualcapital eff iciencies of the f irms in chemicals,petroleum, plastic products industry, and toexamine whether there are diff erences inintellectual capital eff iciencies and market-to-bookvalue ratios between f irm groups listed in thenational market, second national market and theBIST100 quota. Intellectual capital eff iciencies f orthe f irms in chemicals, petroleum and plasticproducts industries listed in Istanbul Stock Exchangeare calculated using the VAIC approach f or theyears 2006-2012. It has been f ound that there is notany signif icant diff erence between groups in termsof intelectual capital eff iciencies. Moreover theresearch has f ound diff erent results f or the f irst andsecond market groups, regarding the correlationsbetween market perf ormance and intellectualcapital components .
