Pre-pubertal ve Pubertal Dönemlerde Ankara Tavşanı Testis ve Epididimislerinde S100 Proteininin İmmunohistokimyasal Lokalizasyonu

Çalışma, ülkemize has bir kültür hayvanı ve bilinen en eski tavşan ırkı olan Ankara tavşanının pre-pubertal ve pubertal dönem testis ve epididimislerinde S100 proteinin varlığını ve lokalizasyonunu immunohistokimyasal olarak belirlemek amacıyla planlanmıştır. Çalışmanın materyalini, altısı üç aylık (pre-pubertal dönem) ve altısı da sekiz aylık olan (pubertal dönem) toplam on iki adet sağlıklı, beyaz Ankara tavşanından alınan testis ve epididimisler oluşturdu. S100 proteinin lokalizasyonunun belirlenmesi amacıyla strept-ABC immunohistokimyasal boyama tekniği uygulandı. Pre-pubertal dönemdeki tavşan testislerinde, seminifer tubül duvarındaki hücrelerden sadece Sertoli hücreleri ile intertubüler alanlarda bazı Leydig hücrelerinde S100 pozititivesi belirlendi. Pubertal dönemdeki tavşan testislerinde ise, seminifer tubülusların duvarındaki Sertoli hücrelerinde, terminal seğmentin modifiye Sertoli hücrelerinde ve tubulus rektus epitelinde S100 pozitif immunreaksiyon gözlendi. Multifonksiyonel özellikteki S100 proteinin Ankara tavşanı testislerindeki hücresel lokalizasyonunun laboratuvar hayvanları, primatlar ve karnivorlardan daha çok domuz ve ruminant testislerine benzerlik gösterdiği sonucuna varıldı
