The İmportance Of Patients With Psychiatric Therapy For The Dental Practice

Individuals who suffer from long periods of time and have a psychiatric illness that adversely affects their quality of life constitute a special group of patients who can not benefit adequately from oral and dental health services. In these patients, side effects of drugs used during chronic psychiatric diseases and their treatments lead to some changes in the oral and oral tissues. These changes can be listed as mouth instability, burning, taste disorders, bruxism and TME disorders. The recognition of the drugs used in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric illness is very important in the treatment, treatment and preventive treatment planning.
