ÖZETModernitenin temel sorunlarından biri de "özne" ve "kimlik"sorunudur. Bu sorun sadece modernitenin değil, insanlık tarihi boyuncasüregelen en temel sorunlardan biri olmuştur. Ancak bu sorun çağımızdakikadar da karmaşık, parçalanmış, bunalımlı ve belirlenmişliğin içindebelirsiz bir hal yaşamamıştı. Kimlik sorununun birçok boyutu olmasınarağmen temelde bir özne, bilinç ve paradigma sorunudur. Modernitede özneve kimlik, Aydınlanma ve onun hakim felsefesi tarafından şekillendiği için,her ikisi de bu felsefenin bilinç ve paradigması tarafından kurgulanmıştır.Fakat kurgulanmış olan bu kimlik hiçbir şekilde tarihsel-sosyal şartlarınöznesi değil, her açıdan modernitenin kendi değerlerinin öznesi vekimliğidir. Bu bağlamda yeniden şekillenmiş olan bu kimlik içerisinde ölenözne de tarihsel-sosyal şartların öznesi değil, öncelikle modernitenin kendiöznesidir. Ancak bu ölüm, tarihsel-sosyal öznenin varoluş deneyimlerinisarsıp parçaladığından onu birçok bunalımların ve belirsizliğin içineitmiştir. Modern öznenin yaşamış olduğu bu duruma postmodernizm birtepki olarak ortaya çıkmasına rağmen o da temelde modernizm içerisindedoğup gelişen bir eleştiri, adeta onun bir sürüp gitmesi olacağından özne vekimliğin yaşamış olduğu durumlarından onları kurtaramamıştır.Anahtar Sözcükler: Özne, kimlik, Aydınlanma, modernizm vepostmodernizm.ABSTRACTThe Death Of Tlte Subject In Modern IdentityOne of the major problems of modernity is the problem of subjectand identity. It is not only a poblem of modernity, but also an importantpoblem which has been existing throughout the history. But, it has neverbeen so complex, divided, depressed and indefinite in definiteness as today.However the problem of identity has various aspects, it is, in essence, aproblem of subject, consious (perception) and paradigm. In modernity, assubject and identity were formed by "Enlightenment" and its philosophy,they were both theorised by the conscious (perception) and paradigm of thisphilosophy. This theorised theory is in no way used as subject of thehistorical-social conditions, an the contrary, it is the subject arid identity ofthe values of modernity. In this context, the wha died in this reformedidentity is not a subject of the hictorical-social conditions but primarily ofmodernity. But, as this death weakens and breaks the existence experiencesof the historical-social subject, it has led it to depression and indefmiteness.Although potmodcrnism appeared as a reaction to this condition of themodern subject. since it has been already a criticism which has developedwithin modernism, it could rescue neither the subject nor the identity fromthe conditions which they are in.Key Words: Subject, identity, Enlightenment, modernism and postmodernism
