Manihey Çevreye Ait İlahi ve Dua Kitabından Eski Uygurca Bir Parça (D Yazması = Ch/U 6348 [T I x 547])

Manihey dininin Doğu Türkistan’da Uygurlar arasında yayıldığını Turfan’a yapılan Alman keşifleri neticesinde elde edilen belgeler sayesinde anlayabiliyoruz. Bu belgeler parçalar hâlinde ele geçirildi. MS.

A Fragment from Manichaean Turkic Prayer Book (Manuscript D = Ch/U 6348 [T I x 547])

Thanks to the documents obtained as a result of the German expeditions in Turfan, we know that the Manichaeanism spread among the Uyghurs in East Türkistan. These documents are recovered in fragmentary condition. Manichaeism was the dominant religion in the Western Uyghur kingdom through AD X and XI centuries. The literature of hymns and prayers is quite rich among Manichaean Uyghurs. The fragment Ch/U 6348 [T I x 547], which contains a liturgical text, has been described recently. In this article, it is analysed and edited.
