Türkler 8. yüzyılın ortalarından itibaren İslâm medeniyetine dâhil olmakla bu kültürün bir parçası olan dînî, ilmî ve edebî müktesebatı tanıma imkânı bulmuş; kısa zamanda bu eserleri hazmedip kendi birikimleri ile harmanlayarak bu ortak kültüre önemli katkılar sunmuşlardır. Metin şerhinde, 13. yüzyıldan 20. yüzyıla kadar çok sayıda eser ortaya koyan Türk âlimleri, Arap ve Fars dilleri ile birlikte Türkçe dînî, ilmî ve edebî pek çok önemli eserin şerhini yapmışlardır. Anadolu sahası klasik Türk edebiyatında, şerh geleneğinin yaygınlaşması 16. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında olmuştur. Günümüzde de devam eden metin şerhi çalışmaları klasik ve modern yaklaşımlarla gerçekleştirilmektedir. Yakın dönem edebiyat araştırmacılarından bazıları metin şerhine dair yaptıkları çalışmalarla tanınmış ve eserleri referans kaynağı olarak kabul görmüştür. Bu çalışma kapsamında incelenen eser, Klasik Türk edebiyatı ve metin şerhi alanının önde gelen hocalarından Prof. Dr. Ali Nihat Tarlan ve Prof. Dr. Âmil Çelebioğlu’nun derslerinde Prof. Dr. Tahir Üzgör tarafından tutulan notların bir araya getirilmesi ile oluşturulmuştur. Tahir Üzgör lisans ve doktora derslerinde yukarıda zikredilen araştırmacıların ilmî birikimini ilk ağızdan dinleme imkânı bulmuş, tuttuğu notlarla da günümüz araştırmacı ve okurlarına ulaşmasını sağlamıştır. “Tahir Üzgör’ün Kaleminden Ali Nihat Tarlan ve Âmil Çelebioğlu’nun Ders Notları” adlı eser Marmara Üniversitesi öğretim üyesi Erdoğan Taştan tarafından hazırlanmıştır.

When Turks joined the Islamic civilization in the middle of the 8th century, they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the religious, scientific, and literary acquis, which were part of this culture, and they made significant contributions to this common culture by digesting these works in a short time and blending them with their own knowledge. Turkish scholars, who produced many works in textual commentary from the eighteenth century to the twentieth century, annotated many important religious, scientific, and literary works in Turkish as well as Arabic and Persian languages. In Anatolian Classical Turkish literature, the commentary tradition became widespread in the second half of the 16th century. Text commentary studies, which continue today, are carried out with classical and modern approaches. Some of the recent literary researchers have been recognized for their works on text commentary, and their works have been accepted as reference sources. The work examined within the scope of this study was created by bringing together the notes kept by Prof. Dr. Tahir Üzgör in the lectures of Prof. Dr. Ali Nihat Tarlan and Prof. Dr. Âmil Çelebioğlu, who are the leading teachers of Classical Turkish literature and text commentary. Tahir Üzgör had the opportunity to listen to first-hand the scholarly accumulation of the researchers mentioned above in his undergraduate and doctoral courses. With the notes he kept, he ensured that it reached today's researchers and readers. The work titled "Lecture Notes of Ali Nihat Tarlan and Âmil Çelebioğlu from Tahir Üzgör's Pen" was prepared by Marmara University faculty member Erdoğan Taştan.
