Bu çalışmanın amacı, lojistik merkezler ve dağıtım parkları olarak deniz limanlarının modern misyonlarını, fonksiyonlarını ve liman otoritesinin yapısını ve özelleştirme kapsamını ortaya koymaktır. Liman idaresinin etkinliği ve performansının organizasyon yapısına etkisi incelenmiş ve analiman idaresi ile özelleştirme için bir model geliştirilmiştir.Buçalışmadapotansiyel problemlervefırsatlargöz önündebulundurularakhipotezler oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın tasarımı, fikirlerçıkarmave kavrayışlaraçısından esnek yapıdadır. Alternatif yaklaşımlarınbelirlenebilmesi için faydalı olabilecek ikincil veri kaynakları, gözlemler ve örnek olaylar çalışmanın keşifseltasarımı için kullanılmıştır
