THE EFFECTS ON THE MANAGERIAL PERFORMANCE OF THE LEVELS OFINTERNAL INTEGRATIONAND EXTERNAL ORIENTATIONAS CULTURAL D1MENSIONS WITHIN THE FIRMS

High performance companies, according to the previous literatüre on organizational cultııre, are assumed to pocess the two cultııral characteristics namely internal integration and external orientation. in our study, \ve employed the concepts of "employee empowerment" and "core values" as the variables representing inlernal integration, and "crealing change" and "shared vision" represenling external orientation, and then we analyzed their impact on fır m performance. Data coUected from 124 manufacturing fırms in the Gebze region have been analysed to test the hypotheses. As a resıılt ofthis study, the factors found to be increasing the fırın performance were the two variables of external orientation.
