Yazar, çalışmasında önce ifade tarzında ve konunun daha iyi anlaşılmasında mesellerin önemine işaret etmektedir. Yazara göre mesel, Arapların kelamında misl/eş ve nazîr/benzer manasına gelmektedir. Buradan hareketle o, Kur"an"da kullanılan meselleri üç ana başlıkta örnekleri ile incelemektedir. Çalışmasının sonunda da meselin faydalarına değinerek en genel manada meselin anlatılan bir konunun daha iyi anlaşılmasını sağladığını ifade etmektedir.

In this article, the author tries to point out the importance of parables in a better understanding of a subject. According to author, parable means "eqular" and "similar" in use of Arabs. Moving from this point, he examines the parables in the Quran with their examples under three headlines. In the conclusion, he refers to usefulness of parables and by doing so, expresses that parables ensure a better understanding of a topic.
