IMPRESSION DE RÉALITÉ AU CINÉMA ET DANS LES ARTS VISUELS

While the impression of reality is present in almost every form of art, the cinema has something more to say, because it creates, in the eyes of the viewers, a higher level of reality simply by its nature. In this study, our aim is to focus on this difference between cinema and other visual arts, mostly photography and theater. We wanted to explain the differences between the levels of reality created by these forms of visual art through the methods of semioticians as Christian Metz and Roland Barthes. We will also refer to other important thinkers on cinema, such as Marcel Martin and Jean Mitry.
