Gastrointestinal stromal tümörlü olguların klinik ve histopatolojik olarak incelenmesi

Amaç: Gastrointestinal stromal tümörler (GİST), gastrointestinal sistemde nadir görülen mezenkimal/stromal hücrelerden köken alan tümörlerdir. Bu çalışmada, GİST tanısı alan olgularımızın klinik, patolojik ve yerleşim özelliklerinin tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve yöntem: Toplam 18 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. Hastaların 10u erkek (%56) ve yaş ortalaması 54,2 (30-75) idi. Bulgular: Tümörlerin yerleşim yeri sıklık sırasıyla mide, periton, kolon, ince bağırsak, omentum ve özofagus idi. Hastaların en sık başvuru semptomu karın ağrısı idi. Olgularımızın %22,2sinde tanı anında uzak metastaz tespit edildi. Sonuç: Çalışmamızda GİST tanısı alan olgularımızın sıklıkla karın ağrısı yakınması ile başvurduğu ve tümörün en sık midede yerleştiği dikkati çekmiştir.

The clinical and histopathological presentations of patients with gastrointestinal stromal tumors

Objectives: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are originated from mesenchymal / stromal cells and are rarely seen in gastrointestinal tract. In this study, we aimed to determine the clinical and histopathological presentations, and tumor localizations of the patients with GIST. Materials and methods: Totally, 18 patients were included in the study. Ten patients were male (56%), and the mean age was 54.2 (30-75) years. Results: The most common sites of organs involved are stomach, peritonea, colon, small intestine, omentum and esophagus, respectively. The major symptom of the patients with GIST is abdominal pain. Distant organ metastasis was detected in 22.2% of the patients. Conclusion: We found that the most common presentation of patients with GIST is abdominal pain, and the most common involved organ is the stomach.
