Examination of liver metastases with contrast enhanced ultrasonography
Amaç: Karaciğer metastazlarının incelenmesinde, kontrastlı ultrasonografinin etkinliğinin araştırılması. Gereç ve yöntem: Toplam 13 olguda 13 adet metastatik karaciğer lezyonu incelendi. Bu lezyonlar, Levovist 2,5/4 gr. flk (galaktoz ve palmitik asit içeren ekokontrast ajan) kullanılarak dinamik kontrastlı US ile incelendi. Lezyonlarda vasküler (arteryel-portal) ve parankimal fazda kontrastlanma paternleri araştırıldı. Bulgular: Lezyonların vasküler fazda kontrast tutup, geç fazda perfüzyon defekti izlenmesinin sensitivite ve spesifisi-tesi sırayla %76,9 ve %100 olarak bulundu. Sonuç: Karaciğer metastazlarının incelenmesinde, dinamik kontrastlı ultrasonografi etkin bir yöntemdir.
Examination of liver metastases with contrast enhanced ultrasonography
Objectives: To investigate the effect of contrast enhanced ultrasonography in examination of liver metastases Materials and methods: Totally 13 metastatic liver lesions were examined in 13 cases. These lesions were exam-ined by dynamic contrast enhanced ultrasonography with Levovist 2.5/4 gr. flk (contrast agent that contains galactose and palmitic acid). Vascular phase (arterial-portal) and parenchymal phase enhancement patterns were investigated in these lesions. Results: The sensitivity and specifity of vascular phase enhancement and later phase perfusion defect in these le-sions were found as %76.92 and %100 respectively. Conclusion: Dynamic contrast enhanced ultrasonography is an effective method in characterization of liver metasta-ses.
