YAŞLI BİREYLERDE STİLOİD PROÇESİN RADYOLOJİK OLARAK DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Amaç: Bu çal man n amac 55 ya ve üstü bireylerde stiloid proçesin (SP) uzunlu:unu ve morfolojik kalsifikasyon tiplerinin görülme s kl : n belirleyerek, ya ve cinsiyetle olan ili kisini incelemektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çal man n materyalini 55 ya ve üstü, 90 erkek (ya ortalamas ; 62.04±8.01) ve 99 kad n (ya ortalamas ; 61.58±7.10) hasta olmak üzere toplam 189 hastaya ait ar iv panoramik radyografiler olu turmaktad r. Radyografik de erlendirmeler; SP uzunluk ölçümleri Jung ve arkada lar n n s n flamas kullan larak, morfolojik kalsifikasyon tiplerinin de:erlendirilmesi ise MacDonald-Jankowski s n flamas na göre yap lm t r. Fstatistiksel analiz için Student t-test ve ki kare testi kullan lm t r.Bulgular: Fncelenen 189 panoramik radyografide SP uzunlu:u 28.60±12.69 mm olarak ve uzam stiloid proçes görülme s kl : %27 olarak tespit edilmi tir. Sa: taraf SP ve sol taraf SP uzunluklar ve cinsiyet aras nda istatistiksel olarak anlaml ili ki bulunmad : (p>0.05) gibi, ya ve SP uzunlu:u aras nda da istatistiksel olarak anlaml(p>0.05). SP morfolojik yap tiplerinden Tip D ve Tip E daha fazla olarak görülürken, SPlerde izlenen morfolojik kalsifikasyon tipleri ile ya ve cinsiyet aras nda istatistiksel olarak anlaml farkl l klar bulunmam t r(p>0.05). Sonuç: Bizim çal mam z n sonuçlar , 55 ya ve üzeri bireylerin panoramik radyografilerinde uzam SP ya da stilohyoid kompleksin kalsifikasyonu izlenebilen, cinsiyet ayr m göstermeyen bir bulgu oldu:unu ve morfolojik yap tipi ele al nd : nda Tip D’nin görülme s kl : n n fazla oldu:unu göstermektedir
