CAD/CAM GEÇİCİ RESTORASYONLAR İLE OKLUZAL DİKEY BOYUTUN ARTTIRILMASI: OLGU SUNUMU

ABSTRACT       Vertical dimension of occlusion is the measured lower face height with the teeth in centric occlusion. A patient’s vertical dimension of occlusion has a significant effect on his/her Daily mastication and phonetic function. Determining the correct vertical dimension also affects the lower face height, neuromuscular region and facial esthetics. Reconstruction of a reduced vertical dimension is one of the most difficult and complicated procedures of oral rehabilitation, so we need to increase the vertical size by using temporary crowns and bridges for a while.        Development of high strength ceramic materials and stronger bonding agents allow the possibility of obtaining occlusal rehabilitation with esthetic materials. This case report presents the full-mouth rehabilitation of a 25 year-old patient to increase the vertical dimension of occlusion. The patient used acrylic temporary bridges for 3 months to get used to the new vertical dimension. At the end of this period, the patient's upper teeth were restored with zirconium based dental restorations. Keywords: Vertical dimension of occlusion, neuromuscular region, occlusal rehabilitation, zirconium based ceramic restorations, acrylic temporary bridge INCREASING VERTICAL DIMENSION OF OCCLUSION WITH CAD/CAM TEMPORARY RESTORATIONS: A CASE REPORT ÖZOklüzal dikey boyut, dişler sentrik ilişkideyken ölçülen alt yüz yüksekliğidir. Bir hastanın okluzal dikey boyutu; günlük çiğneme, fonetik fonksiyon ve estetik üzerinde belirgin bir etkiye sahiptir. Doğru dikey boyutun belirlenmesi; alt yüz yüksekliğini, nöromüsküler bölgeyi ve yüz estetiğini de etkiler. Azaltılmış bir dikey boyutun yeniden yapılandırılması, oral rehabilitasyonun en zor ve karmaşık işlemlerinden biridir. Bu nedenle, bir süre için geçici kronlar ve köprüler kullandırılarak dikey boyutu arttırmamız gerekir.       Yüksek dayanıklılığa sahip seramik materyallerin ve daha güçlü yapıştırıcı ajanların geliştirilmesi, estetik materyaller ile oklüzal rehabilitasyon imkânı sağlar. Bu olgu sunumu, oklüzyonun dikey boyutunu artırmak için 25 yaşındaki bir hastanın tam ağız rehabilitasyonunu göstermektedir. Hasta yeni dikey boyuta alışmak için akrilik geçici köprüleri 3 ay kullandı. Bu sürenin sonunda hastanın üst dişleri zirkonyum alt yapılı sabit restorasyonlarla restore edildi.
