Diffuz retinal tutulumlu bir olgu nedeniyle Coats hastalığı
AMAÇ: Diffuz retinal tutulum bulguları mevcut Coats hastalığı tanısı alan bir olgunun sunumu. METOD: Ondört yaşındaki kadın hasta sol gözünde az görme ve kayma şikayeti ile kliniğimize başvurdu. Hastaya ayrıntılı oftalmolojik muayene ile birlikte yardımcı tanı yöntemleri uygulandı. BULGULAR: Hastanın oftalmolojik muayenesinde sol göz makulada lokalize eksüdasyon birikimi, retinada yer yer sarı renkte subretinal eksüdasyon, periferik telenjiektatik vasküler anomaliler ve inferior kadranda seröz retina dekolmanı tespit edildi. Coats hastalığı düşünülerek takibe alınan hastanın kliniğinde herhangi bir değişiklik izlenmedi, vizyon artmadı. SONUÇ: Coats hastalığı genellikle tek taraflı intraretinal eksüdasyon, retinal vasküler anormaliler ve hemoraji ile karakterize olup, mevcut komplikasyonlar açısından uzun süreli takipleri gerekmektedir.
Coasts disease: A case report with diffuse involvement
PURPOSE: To report a case of Coat's disease with diffuse involvement. MATERIAL and METHOD: Fourteen-year-old female was admitted to our clinic for low visual acuity and strabismus in her left eye. The patient underwent detailed ophthalmological examination with associated diagnostic tests. RESULT: Ophthalmic examination revealed localized concentration of exudation in the central area of macula, subretinal yellow exudation, peripheral retinal telangiectasias with vascular abnormality and a serous detachment of inferior retina in her left eye. Coats disease was diagnosed and the patient was followed up; no change was observed both in her clinic and visual acuity. CONCLUSION: Coats disease is a distinct clinical entity characterized by unilateral intraretinal exudation, retinal vascular abnormality and hemorrhage, and it should be followed up for its possible complications for a long period.
