Mahmud b. Zeyd el-Lâmişî, hicri V. asrın sonu, VI. asrın başlarında Semerkand’da yaşamış Hanefi-Mâturidî geleneğe mensup Semerkandlı kelamcı ve hanefi usulcülerdendir. Osmanlı ve Selçuklu medreselerinde son dönemlere kadar eserleri okutulan Lâmişî, hakkında pek az bilgiye sahip olduğumuz Hanefî-Mâturidî âlimlerden biridir. Lâmişî’ye ait eserler ortaya çıktıkça, üzerine yapılan çalışmalar artıkça onunla ilgili daha detaylı bilgi sahibi olabileceğimizi düşünmekteyiz. Bu bağlamda biz bu çalışmamızda kültürel mirasımıza katkıda bulunmak amacıyla Lâmişî’nin eser ve düşüncelerini incelemeye çalıştık.

Mahmud b. Zayd al- Lâmishi, lived in Semerkand at the end of the 5th century and at the beginning of the 6th century (AH), a member of Hanafi-Mâturidi tradition was a theologian and jurist. His works related to theology, law and method of law were read in madrasahs in the periods of Ottoman and Seljukids. Although we don’t know much information about him and his scholarly activities it is known that his thoughts of theological and law are in the frame of school of maturidism. Our work’s goal is to introduce Lâmishi and his period.
