Ani bebek ölümü ve nedenlerinden biri olarak annenin sigara içiciliği

Ani Bebek Ölümü Sendromunun nedeni henüz tam olarak açıklanamamıştır. ABÖS’nun etyolojisini aydınlatmaya yönelik araştırmalar, özellikle anne ve bebek sağlığı üzerine yoğunlaşmış olan birinci basamak sağlık kurumlarında görevli sağlık çalışanları için önemlidir. Böylece, ABÖ riskini azalttığı gösterilmiş durumları anlamak ve bu konularda daha gebelik takipleri sırasında başlayıp, doğum sonrası bakım, yenidoğan dönemi, büyüme-gelişme ve aşılanma takipleri ile devam eden olağan ziyaretlerde danışmanlı k vermek mümkün olacaktır. Yapılmış araştırmalara dayanarak özellikle 0-12 ay arası bebeği olan ailelere verilecek öneriler; bebeğin sırtüstü pozisyonda uyutulması, yan yatırmanın da sırt üstü yatırmaktan daha riskli olduğu, bebeğin çok sıkı ve sıcak tutacak şekilde giydirilmemesi, bebeğin annenin yatağının yanında ama ayrı bir yatakta yatırılması, gebelik sırasında ve bebeğin bulunduğu ortamda sigara içilmemesi, eğer anne sigara içiyorsa bebek ile aynı yatakta yatılmaması, bebek yatağının sert ve yastı k, battaniye, oyuncak gibi detaylardan arındırılmış olması ve anne sütü verilmesi şeklinde sıralanabilir.

Sudden infant death syndrome and mother's smoking as a cause

The causes of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome are not expressed brieşy yet. The research to explain the etiology of SIDS is especially important for health professionals who are working in primary care units. Thus, it can be possible to understand the reported factors that reduce SIDS risk and to consult the families beginning from antenatal follow-up and going on through the routine post-natal care of the mother, newborn, growth, development and immunization visits of the children. Depending on the completed studies, recommendations for the families especially who have babies between 0-12 months can be listed as; place the infant on his back to sleep, side sleeping has higher risk than back position, don’t put on clothes that are tight and keeping hot, use a separate but proximal sleeping bed for the infant near the mother's bed, do not smoke during pregnancy and in the infant's environment, if the mother is smoking don’t allow the infant sleep with the mother, let the infant’s bed be a thin mat with no pillows, blankets or toys and encourage breast-feeding.
