ULUSAL VE ULUSLARARASI EBELİK ETİK KODLARI

İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski bir meslek olan ebeliğin meslek olma süreci ülkemizde 1998 yılında lisans programlarının açılması ile başlamış, 2000 yılında yüksek lisans ve 2013 yılında doktora programlarının açılması ile hız kazanmıştır. Bağımsız görevleri ve tarafları çok olan ebenin her uygulamasının yapıtaşı etiktir. Etik çeşitli meslek kolları arasında tarafların uyması veya kaçınması gereken davranışlar bütünü olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Mesleklerin varlığını koruyup sürdürebilmesi, kendini geliştirebilmesi, itibarını koruyabilmesi için meslek etiğine sahip olması gerekmektedir. Her ne kadar günümüzde ebe olmak için o ülkenin öngördüğü resmi ebelik eğitimini tamamlamış olmak yeterli olsa da, mesleğin etik yönünü ortaya koyamamak ebeliğin mesleki açıdan, ilerlemesini engellemektedir. Ebelikte meslek değerlerinin, etik kodların bilinmesi ebelik bakım ve uygulamalarının daha nitelikli olmasına, böylelikle ebelik mesleğinin toplum içerisinde statüsünün yükselmesine katkı sağlayacaktır. Bu derlemede amaç dünyada önde gelen ebelik örgütlerinin evrensel ebelik etik kodlarını açıklamak ve çeşitli ulusların kendine özgü oluşturduğu ebelik kodlarının farkını ortaya koymaktır. Uluslararası Ebelik Konfedarasyonu, Kuzey Amerika Ebeler Derneği, Amerika Ebe-Hemşireler Birliği ve Ulusal Sertifikalı Profesyonel Ebeler Derneği tarafından evrensel ebelik etik kodları oluşturulmuştur. Çoğu ülke bu kodları benimserken, bazıları bu kodları köken alarak kendi uluslarına özgü hale getirmişlerdir. Bazı uluslar ile ülkemizde var olan etik kodlar karşılaştırıldığında ise birçok eksiği bulunduğu dikkati çekmektedir.

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL MIDWIFERY ETHICS CODES

The midwifery which is a profession as old as human history started with the opening of the undergraduate programs in our vocationalization country in 1998 and accelerated with the opening of graduate programs in 2000 and doctorate programs in 2013. It is ethical if the building stone of every practice of self-government, which has many independent duties and parties. Ethics is defined as a set of behaviors that must be avoided or avoided by the various branches of the profession. It is necessary to have occupational ethics in order to protect and maintain the existence of the professions, to develop oneself, to protect its reputation. Although it is sufficient to have completed the formal midwifery education prescribed by that country in order to become a midwife nowadays, failing to reveal the ethical direction of the profession prevents the ebru's occupation and progress. Knowing the professional values and ethical codes in the midwifery will cause the midwifery care and practice to be more qualified, thus causing the midwifery profession's status to rise within the community. The purpose of this review is to explain the universal midwifery codes of ethics of the leading midwifery organizations in the world and to reveal the awareness of the midwifery codes that the various nations make unique. Universal codes of ethics have been developed by International Midwifery Confederation, Midwifery Alliance North America, American College of Nurse-Midwives and National Association of Certified Professional Midwives. While many countries have embraced these codes, some have originated these codes and made them unique to their own nations.It is noteworthy that there are many deficiencies in comparison with some ethnic codes which exist in our country.
