Successful Treatment of Primary Isolated Bilateral Fetal Hydrothorax With Recurrent Thoracentesis: Case Report
In this report, we will review a rare case of primary bilateral fetal hydrothorax with the literature. After the diagnosis was made at 33 weeks of gestation, thoracentesis was performed 5 times in total. The patient had a normal delivery on 40 weeks and 3 days gestational age according to her last menstrual period (LMP). The baby whom had intrauterine thoracentesis had been hospitalized and discharged after 56 days. In this presentation, we will present a general literature review of fetal hydrothorax cases with thoracentesis and other treatment modalities, and we will review the etiology and results of the fluid that accumulates in the fetal lung.
