ÖZGÜL ÖĞRENME BOZUKLUĞU BULUNAN ÇOCUKLARDA SERUM FOLAT, VİTAMİN B12, HOMOSİSTEİN VE VİTAMİN D SEVİYELERİ

Amaç: Bu çalışmada çocukluk çağının en sık görülen psikiyatrik bozukluklarından biri olan özgül öğrenmebozukluğu (ÖÖB) bulunan çocukların serumlarında folat, vitamin B12 ve homosistein ve ayrıca vitamin Dseviyelerini araştırmayı amaçladık.Materyal ve Metod: 42 ÖÖB bulunan çocuk ve 30 sağlıklı kontrol grubu karşılaştırıldı. Serum folat, vitaminB12, homosistein ve vitamin D değerleri ölçüldü.Bulgular: Folat seviyeleri hasta grubunda sağlıklı kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı olarak düşük bulundu(p=0.046). Serum Folate, Vitamin B12, Homocysteine and Vitamin D Levels in Children With Specific Learning Disorder

Objective:The aim of the study was to investigate serum folate, vitamin B12, homocysteine and vitamin D levelsof children with specific learning disorder, which is one of the most common psychiatric disorders in childhood period. Material and Methods: 42 children with learning disorders and 30 healthy controls were compared. Serum folate, vitamin B12, homocysteine and vitamin D levels were measured. Results: Folate levels were significantly lower in the patient group compare to the healthy controls (p = 0.046). There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of vitamin B12 and homocysteine levels (p = 0.059 and p = 0.077 respectively).
