Eye Diseases Associated With Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome

Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a sleep disorder characterized by recurrent complete or partial collapse of the upper airways during sleep. There are publications in the literature highlighting the association of OSAS with floppy eyelid syndrome (FES), glaucoma, non-arteritic ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), papilloma, keratoconus, central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) and retinal venous occlusion. In this review, these relations are examined.
