Fatigue Syndrome and Hematological Parameters in Obese and Diabetic Patients
Fatigue Syndrome and Hematological Parameters in Obese and Diabetic Patients
Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between fatigue syndrome and haematological parameters in obese and Type 2 diabetic patients. Material and Methods: Patients admitted to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic was enrolled into the study. There were 15 patients with Type 2 Diabetes, 14 people with obesity and 15 healthy controls. Fatigue syndrome scores were determined by Psychiatry Department. Hematologic parameters and ferritin levels were assayed from blood samples. ANOVA test was used for statistical analyses of blood parameters between groups and Mann Whitney U test was used for fatigue syndrome scores between groups. Spearman rank correlation coefficients examined the relationships between the fatigue syndrome scores and other parameters Results: Fatigue syndrome scores were higher in patients with Type 2 Diabetes compared with obesity and control groups (p
