Varoluşçuluk, belli bir felsefe okulunu veya düşünce sistemini temsil etmez. Fakat daha çok bireyselliğe yapılan vurgu, tutkuların önemi, özgürlük kavramı, yaşamın irrasyonelliği, vs. gibi bazı ortak temalar etrafında birbirinden çok farklı eğilimleri olan düşünürlerin (örneğin, Kierkegaard dindar bir Hristiyan, Sartre bir Marksist, Heidegger bir faşistti) bir araya getirildiği, insan varoluşunu herhangi bir nihai temele dayandırmadan insani durumu göz önüne alarak açıklamaya çalışan felsefi bir tavır veya harekettir. Is Unquestioned Life Worth Living?

If we consider the central importance of questioning for philosophy, the claim that unquestioned life is not worth living can lead us to the worthiness of philosophy. What is the significance of philosophy, most simply, as a questioning, critical and reflexive activity? Is there any difference which makes superior one over another in terms of quality of life between a philosophical life and the other? More generally, is philosophy a kind of thing that we want in a good life? This article discusses these questions around the themes like meaning of life, good life and happiness
