INVESTIGATION OF VOCATIONAL COLLEGE STUDENTS' PERSPECTIVES ON TURKEY'S EUROPEAN UNION MEMBERSHIP

The purpose of this study is to examine the the perspective of the students studying at university to European Union membership process, to determine whether they support the European Union membership and their thoughts on the possibilities of European Union membership. This study uses data from a sample 247 students who have compulsory attendance. The data are analyzed by SPSS 13.0 statistical software. The demographic characteristics of the students were given in the findings of the research, factor analysis was performed and the data were sorted into one dimension. In order to examine the relationships between variables, Independent Sample t-test and One-Way ANOVA was performed. As a result of this analysis, the majority of students supported to the European Union membership of Turkey and had a positive perspective to the European Union membership of Turkey. It also emerged that students, who supported and had a positive perspective to the European Union membership, were in a more positive perspective against the possibiilities of the European Union membership of Turkey
