NORMAL GELİŞİM GÖSTEREN VE DİKKAT EKSİKLİĞİ HİPERAKTİVİTE BOZUKLUĞU TANILI ÇOCUKLARIN ANLATI ANALİZİNE DAYALI DİL BECERİLERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMALI OLARAK İNCELENMESİ

Problem Durumu: Anlatı becerileri, çocukların akademik becerileri okumayazma, dil açısından önemlidir. DEHB olan çocukların bu tür becerilerde güçlükler yaşadıkları belirtilmektedir. Ülkemizde bu konuya yönelik sınırlı sayıda çalışma bulunmaktadır.Araştırmanın Amacı: Bu araştırma, 7-9 yaş grubundaki normal gelişim gösteren ve DEHB olan çocukların öykü anlatma becerilerini değerlendirmek ve karşılaştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya 7-9 yaş arasındaki normal gelişim gösteren 30 çocuk ile 30 DEHB olan çocuk katılmıştır. Çalışmada “Frog where are you?” adlı yazısız resimli kitap kullanılmıştır. Çocuklardan resimlere bakarak öykü oluşturmaları istenmiştir. Çocukların anlattıkları öyküler kaydedilmiştir. Çocukların anlattıkları öyküleri değerlendirmek için araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşü alınarak geliştirilen “Öykü Anlatma Değerlendirme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın analizi için SPSS 16,01 istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Bulgular ve Sonuçlar: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre DEHB olan çocukların öykü anlatma becerilerinin normal gelişim gösteren çocuklara göre daha zayıf olduğu bulunmuştur. Öneriler: Öykü anlatma yönteminin çocukların dil ve akademik özelliklerini değerlendirmede faydalı bir yöntem olduğu belirtilmiştir

A Comparative Analysis of Language Skills of the Typically Developed Children and ADHD Children by Using Narrative Analysis

Status of the Problem: Narrative skills are important for the children’s academic skills literacy, language . It has raported that children with ADHD have had difficulties in narrative skills. In our country there has been limited research about the subject area. Purpose of The Study:This research was planned to examine and compare of story generation skills of the typically developed children and ADHD children between 7-9 years old. Method of the Study: In this study there were 30 typically developed children and 30 ADHD children. In the research wordless picture book “Frog,where are you?”was used. In the study children were asked to generate a story by looking teh pictures of the story book. Stories told by children were recorded. In order to analysis of the stories “Story Generation Evaulation Form” was used. This form was referred by subject specialists and prepared by the researcher. The datas were analized by using the SPSS 16.01 computer statistical program. Findings and Conclusions: According to the findings at the end of the research ADHD children’s story generation skills were found more deficient than typically developed children. Suggestions: Story generation method was suggested a useful method for assessing academic and language skills of the children
