The inorganic borates like Li((OH)2B5O7) are generally used for the production of nonlinear optical materials. In this study, Li((OH)2B5O7) has been prepared firstly in a short time and purely by microwave method comparing with the conventional preparation techniques. The structural properties of the product were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and FTIR spectrophotometeric techniques
