Bazı Hayvanlarda Adrenal Bezlerin Morfometrik Özellikleri

Bu çalışma koyun, keçi, sığır, kedi, köpek ve tavşanda sağ ve sol adrenal bezlerin türe ve cinsiyete özgü morfometrik özelliklerinin, ağırlıklarının ve vücut ağırlıklarına oranlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, vücut ağırlığı ile bez ağırlığı, vücut ağırlığı ile bez uzunluğu ve bez ağırlığı ile bez uzunluğu arasında her hangi bir ilişkinin olup olmadığı araştırıldı. Araştırmada; bezlerin ölçüm işlemleri yapıldıktan sonra, ağırlıkları alındı. Bezlerin vücut ağırlıklarına oranlarında en büyük değer erkek sığırda en küçük değer erkek keçide elde edilmiştir. Bu araştırmada kullanılan materyallerden koyun, sığır, keçi ve köpeğin her iki cinsiyetinde, erkek tavşanda ve dişi kedide sol adrenal bezin erkek kedide sağ adrenal bezin daha ağır olduğu saptandı. Dişi tavşanda ise, sağ ve sol adrenal bezlerin birbirlerine eşit ağırlıkta olduğu görüldü

MORPHOMETRIC PROPERTIES OF ADRENAL GLANDS IN SOME ANIMALS

This research has been conducted in order to determine the morphometric caracteristic of the right and the left adrenal glands, their proportions to the body weights of sheep, goat, cattle, dog and rabbit, peculiar to species and gender. We have also carried out such investigation in order to find whether or not there is any correlation between the body weight and gland weight, body weight and gland length and between gland weight and gland length. In the study, after conducting the calculation procedures of glands, their weights were recorded. Whereas the maximum value was found in male cattle in terms of the proportion of glands to body weight, the minimum value was obtained in male goat. We have also found that the left adrenal gland was heavier than the right in both sexes of sheep, cattle, goat and dog, but was vice-versa for the male rabbit and female cat. The right adrenal gland in the male cat was heavier. As for the female rabbit, the right and left adrenal glands were equal in terms of weight.
