Erodium olympicum Gemici & Leblebici (Geraniaceae)'un Taksonomik Durumu

Hem Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici hem de Erodium sibthorpianum Boiss. subsp. sibthorpianum Bursa, Uludağ’dan bilinen dar yayılışlı endemik türlerdir. Bu iki bitki taksonu, birbirinden çok az karakterle ayrılmıştır. Uludağ’dan toplanan örnekler üzerinde yapılan ayrıntılı çalışmalar, son zamanlarda Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici olarak tanımlanan taksonun Erodium sibthorpianum Boiss. subsp. sibthorpianum taksonunun sinonimi olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici’un homonimi ve Erodium absinthoides Willd.’in sinonimi kabul edilen, Erodium olympicum Clementi’un taksonomik durumu ise nomen nudum olarak değerlendirilmiştir.

Taxonomic Status of Erodium olympicum Gemici & Leblebici (Geraniaceae)

Both Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici and Erodium sibthorpianum Boiss. subsp. sibthorpianum taxa are narrow endemic species known from Uludağ-Bursa. These plant taxa have been separated from each other with very few characters. Comprehensive studies on samples collected from Uludağ showed that the taxon recently described as Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici, is synonymous of the Erodium sibthorpianum Boiss. subsp. sibthorpianum. Also, the taxonomic status of Erodium olympicum Clementi, which is known as one of the synonyms of Erodium absinthoides Willd. and is homonym of Erodium olympicum Gemici&Leblebici, is evaluated as nomen nudum.
