Baş Boyun Kanserlerinde İmplant Tedavisi

Baş boyun kanserlerinin tedavi protokolleri, radyoterapi kemoterapi ve radikal cerrahilerin kombinasyonlarıyla oluşturulur., Radikal kanser cerrahileri sonrasında görülen çenelerdeki büyük kemik kayıpları hastaların beslenme kalitesini, fonksiyonunu, konuşmasını ve dolayısıyls yaşam kalitesini düşürmektedir. Bu hasta gruplarında uygun iyileşme sürelerini takiben dental implant tedavileri sıklıkla uygulanmaktadır. Sitotoksik kemoterapi ya da bifosfanat kullanımı varlığında, radyoterapi sonrasında, maksillar bölgede, augmente edilmiş kemikte, oral hijyenin yetersiz kaldığı durumlarda implant başarısında düşüş görülebilmektedir. Bu hastalarda gerekli önlemler altında, ilgili doktorun konsültasyonu sonrasında dental implantların yapılması uygundur.
