AFYONKARAHİSAR İLİNDE KOYUNLARDA MAVİ DİL VİRÜS ENFEKSİYONUNUN KOMPETATİF ELISA İLE ARAŞTIRILMASI

Mavi Dil Virus (Blue Tongue Virus-BTV) enfeksiyonlarý koyunlarýn önemli abort etkenleri arasýndadýrlar. Bu çalýþmada, BTVenfeksiyonunun varlýðýný serolojik olarak araþtýrýlmasý amaçlanmýþtýr. Bu amaçla, Afyonkarahisar ilindeki 4 ilçedeki 7 köyden toplam568 koyun örneklendi. Serolojik muayenede ruminant türlerinde tüm BTV serotiplerini belirlemek için geliþtirilmiþ kompetatif ELISAkullanýldý. Test sonuçlarýna göre, 568 örnekten 141inin (%24.8) BTV antikor pozitif olduðu belirlendi. Köy bazýnda ise %11.1 ile %42arasýnda deðiþen oranlarda seropozitiflik tespit edildi

An Investigation of Blue Tongue Virus Infection Using Competative ELISA in Afyonkarahisar province

Bluetongue Virus (BTV) infection is among the most important abortive agents in sheep. This study was performed forinvestigate the entity of BTV infection as serologically. For this purpose, total of 568 sheep were sampled in 7 village at 4 differentterritory in Afyonkarahisar Province. Competitive ELISA which developed to detect all serotypes of BTV in ruminant species was usedfor serological examination. Test results indicated that, out of 568 samples, 141 (24.8%) were found to be antibody positive for BTV.The proportions were varied among 11.1% and 42% in the village basis
