The plazma levels of short and long termed exercises over immunglobulin G sub-groups in sportsmen
This study aims to investigate the influence of short and long term exercises, performed by the physical education students, on the immune sub-groups. There were 21 healthy male students (18±2 years old) participated in the study. In the two-month exercise program, the students were asked to carry out exercises lasting, on the average, 45-60 minutes on a 400 m running track. The blood samples collected initially, and at the end of the first (Group I) and second months (Group II) of the program were analysed using the nefelometric method for immunoglobulin G sub-groups (IgG, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 ve IgG4) in the plasma and the three groups were statistically compared. Although there was no significant increase observed in IgG, IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4 parameters of the short-term exercise (Group I), as compared with the pre-exercise parameters, there was a statistically significant increase (p
