Güney Doğıı'dakİ terör sorununun tarihî bir perspektifini çizmeye ça-lıştığımız makalemizde önce Kürtlerin menşei ve dili üzerinde durduktan sonra OsmanlI'dan günümüze kadar gelen çalışmalar anlatılmıştır. OsmanlInın son dönemlerinde yapılan bir takım ıslahat hareketlerine değindikten sonra Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluş aşamasında gerçekleştirilen faaliyetlerine, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin mimarı Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ün, meseleyi millet bazında alışma değinilmiştir. Gerçekten de, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, birçok dünya liderinin aksine kendisini değil onları, halkı hâkim kılmış ve “Hâkimiyet-i Mİlliye”yi gerçekleştirmiştir.
