ARTVİN YÖRESİNDE URUS MIII ORMAN HAVA HATLARI KULLANILARAK GERÇEKLEŞTİRİLEN BÖLMEDEN ÇIKARMA ÇALIŞMALARININ DİKİLİ AĞAÇLARA VE FİDANLARA VERDİĞİ FİZİKSEL ZARARLARIN MEVSİMSEL AÇIDAN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Bu çalışmada, Artvin yöresinde odun hammaddesi üretim çalışmalarında kullanılan Urus MIII orman hava hattı ile gerçekleştirilen bölmeden çıkarma çalışmalarının dikili ağaçlar ve fidanlar üzerinde oluşturduğu fiziksel zararlar kış ve yaz ayları açısından karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla yaz ve kış mevsiminde Urus MIII orman hava hattı kullanılarak bölmeden çıkarma yapılan bölmelerde toplam 8 deneme alanı alınmıştır. Deneme alanlarında dikili ağaçlarda ve fidanlarda odun hammaddesi taşımasından kaynaklanan fiziksel zarar dereceleri belirlenmiştir. Zararlar dikili ağaçlar için 4 (0: zarar yok, 1: az zarar, 2:orta zarar, 3:ağır zarar) fidanlar için 5 (0: zarar yok, 1: az zarar, 2:orta zarar, 3:ağır zarar 4:ölmüş fidan) farklı zarar derecelendirmesine göre tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçta kış mevsiminde kar üzerinde yapılan bölmeden çıkarma çalışmalarının yaz aylarında yapılan çalışmalara göre dikili ağaçlara ve fidanlara daha az fiziksel zarar verdiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

A SEASONAL COMPARISON OF THE PHYSICAL DAMAGES ON RESIDUAL TREES AND SEEDLINGS DUE TO LOGGING OPERATION USING URUS MIII FOREST SKYLINE IN ARTVIN REGION

In this paper, the physical damages of logging activities using Urus MIII forest skylines on residual trees and seedlings were evaluated through comparison between harvesting operations took place in winter and summer seasons in Artvin region. In order to achieve our aims, both in winter and summer, 4 representative plots were taken in the harvesting areas using Urus MIII skyline.  Physical damages caused by logging to residual trees and seedling were noted. Damage classes for the residual trees were divided into 4 categories as (0:no injury, 1:light injury, 2:medium injury, 3:heavy injury) and 5 categories for the seedlings as (0:no injury, 1:light injury, 2:medium injury, 3:heavy injury, 4:dead trees). As a result, it has been concluded that logging activities on snowy terrain during winter caused less damage on residual trees and seedling than that ofthe logging during summer season
