AMERİKA BİRLEŞİK DEVLETLERİ’NDEKİ OKUL ÖNCESİ VE İLKÖĞRETİM MÜZİK STANDARTLARININ İNCELENMESİ

Araştırmanın amacı, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’ndeki okul öncesi ve ilköğretim düzeyindekiöğrenciler için hazırlanmış, birçok eyalet tarafından kullanılan ve birçok eyalet tarafından da temelalınan Ulusal Temel Müzik Standartlarının incelenmesidir. Araştırma verileri, araştırma konusunailişkin doküman incelemesi yoluyla toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda felsefi temeller ve yaşam boyuhedeflerle hizalanmış 4 sanatsal süreç (“yaratma”, “performans gösterme”, “yanıtlama” ve“bağlama”) altında organize edilmiş süreç bileşenlerine, 11 temel standarda, kalıcı anlayışlara, temelsorulara ve 183 müzik performans standardına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlarınilkokul ve ortaokul müzik dersi öğretim programlarının geliştirilmesi, müzik öğretmeni yetiştirmeprogramlarının hazırlanması, müzik öğretmenlerinin seçimi için gerekli olan ölçütlerin tanımlanmasıve mesleki gelişim planlarının hazırlanması süreçlerinde kaynak olarak kullanılması ve dikkatealınması önerilmiştir.

EXAMINING PK-8 GENERAL MUSIC STANDARDS IN THE UNITED STATES

The aim of the research is to examine the National Core Music Standards provided for each grade level from Pre-kindergarten through grade eight in the United States, used by many states. Research data was collected through document analysis on the subject of research. The research resulted in artistic processes ("creating", "performing", "responding" and "connecting") aligned with philosophical foundations and lifelong goals. Also, these processes are revealed to embody the process components,11 anchor standards, enduring understandings and essential questions and 183 music performance standards. It is suggested that the results obtained from the research should be used as reference and taken into consideration in the development of primary school music lesson curriculum, preparing music teacher training programs, defining the criteria required for the selection of music teachers and preparing professional development plans.
