1980 yılından sonra tüm dünyada kullanılmaya başlanan titanyum plak-vida sistemleri ile servikal bölgenin biomekanik stabilizasyonunda çok önemli gelişmeler kaydedilmiştir. Ehil ellerde stabilizasyon sonrası per ve postoperatif komplikasyonlar son derece düşüktür. Bu çalışmada kliniğimizde travma sonrası gelişmiş servikal instabiliteleri anterior retro-faringeal girşim yoluyla Synthes titanyum plak siste¬mi ile düzeltilen olgular literatür bilgileri ışığına incelenmiştir.

Since 1980 Titanium plate-screw system was used for the biomechanical stabilization of the cer¬vical vertebras. With this technique, per and post¬operative complications are very rare. In this study, the patients who were operated by anterior retropharyngeal route for cervical instabilization due to trauma we're discussed. This technique which enables fusion and stabilization with Synthes Titanium Plate system has been reviewed.
