Karaciğerin mixed ( Mezanşimal ) hamartomu

Pediatrik yaş grubunda karaciğer tümörlerine oldukça seyrek rastlanmaktadır. Bu tümörlerin 1/3'ünün benign olduğu bildirilmektedir. En sık rastlanan şikayet karın şişliğidir ve muayenede hastası olmayan bir kitle saptanır. Yapılan rutin laboratuvar testleri ve karaciğer fonksiyon testleri genellikle normal olduğu için tanıda yardımcı değildir: Tedavide ise rezeksiyon yapılabilen vakalarda iyi sonuçlar bildirilmektedir. Hastanemize karnında şişlik nedeniyle getirilen 3,5 yaşındaki erkek hastada orta derecede hepatosplenomegali ile birlikte 5x5cm'lik abdominal kitle saptadık. Hastanın serum transaminaz değerleri normalin 5 katı kadar yüksekti. Histolojik olarak mixed (mezanşimal) hamartom tanısı alan kitle bütün lobları tuttuğu için eksize edilemedi.

A mixed hamartoma of the liver

Tumors of the liver are relatively rare in pédiatrie patients. One third of these are benign. The most common presenting manifestation is abdominal enlargement with a palpabl nontender mass. Routine laboratory studies are usually unrevealing and tests for liver function are often normal. Complete surgical resection is curative. A 3,5 years old boy was admitted to our hospital for evaluation of an abdominal nontender mass which was 5x5 cm in diameter. Physical examination revealed moderate hepatosplenomegaly. His serum transaminase values were nearly 5 times higher than normal. Histologie examination led to the diagnosis of mixed (mesenchymal) hamartoma. The tumor could not be extirpated since it occupied alI the lobes.
