Ağrı Tedavisinde Akupunkturun Yeri

Ağrı çeşitli etiyolojik faktörlerin neden olduğu, yaşam kalitesinde ve işgücünde düşmeye yol açan bir halk sağlığı sorunudur. Tedavi amaçlı alınan ilaçlar her zaman istenilen sonucu verememekte, bu durum hastaların farklı yöntemler aramasına neden olmaktadır. Bu anlamda gelişmiş ülkelerde tek başına veya ek olarak kullanılan yöntemlerden biri de akupunkturdur. Çok çeşitli alanlarda tamamlayıcı tedavi olarak kullanılsa da; ağrı akupunktur tedavisinin en çok kullanıldığı endikasyonlardan biridir. Bu yazıda ağrı tedavisinde akupunktur kullanımı ile ilgili bazı bilimsel çalışmalar gözden geçirilmiştir.

Acupuncture in the Treatment of Pain

Pain is a public health problem caused by various etiological factors that leads to a decrease in quality of life and labor. Medication can not always produce the desired results, so patients may search for different methods for treatment. In this sense, acupuncture is one method that is used alone or as a complementary treatment in developed countries. Although used as a complementary treatment in various fields, pain is one of the most commonly used indications for acupuncture treatment. In this article, some scientific studies on the use of acupuncture in the treatment of pain have been reviewed.
