SANTRAL SİNİR SİSTEMİNİN NADİR BİR TUTULUM ŞEKLİ: LİMBİK ENSEFALİT

Limbik ensefalit; günler içinde gelişen bellek bozukluğu, jeneralize ve kompleks parsiyel tipte epileptik nöbetler, çeşitli tipte affektif bozukluklar ve davranış bozuklukları ile ortaya çıkar. Bellek bozuklukları anterograd ve retrograd amneziyi içerir ve sıklıkla depresyon, anksiyete, emosyonel labilite ile kişilik değişiklikleri buna eşlik eder (1). Bu yazıda akut amnezi, uzamış konfüzyon tablosu, jeneralize tonik klonik nöbeti olan bir limbik ensefalit olgusunu sunmayı amaçladık.

A RARE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DISORDER: LIMBIC ENCEPHALITIS

Limbic encephalitis presents with memory impairment developing within days, generalized and complex partial seizures, various type of affective disturbances and behavioral disorders. Memory impairments include near term antero and retrograd amnesia and commonly accompanied with depression, anxiety, emotional lability and personality changes. We aimed in this article, to present a limbic encephalitis case presented with acute amnesia, prolonged confusion, generalize tonic clonic seizures.
