PERİYODİK ATEŞ, AFTÖZ STOMATİT, FARENJİT VE SERVİKAL LENFADENOPATİ (PFAPA) SENDROMU

Ateş, ölçüldüğü yere göre değişmekle birlikte, vücut sıcaklığının ortalama 37ºC'den 1-4ºC daha yüksek olmasıdır. Çocuklarda sık görülen ateş, öncelikle enfeksiyonu akla getiren semptomlardan biridir. Ateşi açıklayacak bir hastalığın saptanamaması kaydıyla, altı ay içinde atak aralarının en az 7 gün olduğu, 3 veya daha fazla 38.4ºC'den yüksek ateş ataklarının olması, periyodik ateş sendromları olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Periyodik ateş, aftöz stomatit, farenjit ve servikal lenfadenopati (PFAPA) sendromu bu grup içinde en sık görülen hastalıktır. Bu yazıda PFAPA sendromu ile ilgili güncel bilgilere yer verilmiştir

PERIODIC FEVER, APHTHOUS STOMATITIS, PHARYNGITIS AND CERVICAL ADENITIS (PFAPA) SYNDROME

Fever is the body temperature that is 1-4ºC higher than the average (37ºC) and varies by the place of measurement. Fever, which is commonly seen in children, is one of the symptoms that suggests infection firstly. When there is no explanation of any disease; the attack of fever intervals are at least 7 days, fever episodes from 3 or more with higher than 38.4ºC of body temperature within six months of period is defined as periodic fever syndromes. Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome is the most common disease in this group.
