Targeted temperature management (TTM) has been used perodically for over the past 100 years. However, just recently it hasgained its main power in clinical practice. Clinical indications for TTM for neuroprotective therapy includes postcardiac arrestsyndrome in adult patients. It is suggested that the constant stable temperature should be between 32-36 °C in the use of TTM.Randomised controlled studies on optimal target temperature after the cardiac arrest, optimal timing for the start and optimumtreatment time is still being continued.
