Botulizm (olgu sunumu)

Botutizm; nadiren görülen, nöromüsküler kavşağı tutan ve uzun süreli solunum desteği gerekebilen bir toksikasyondur. Tanısı, öykü ve klinik bulgulara dayanılarak yapılması gereken botulizmde; akomodasyon bozukluğu, pitosiz, başını tutamama, yürüme güçlüğü, konuşma ve yutma güçlüğü ilk görülen bulgulardır. İki hastada karşılaşılan, tanı konuluncaya kadar birinin ölümüyle sonuçlanan botulizm gözden geçirildi.

Botulism (case report)

Botulism is an uncommon toxication characteristically acts on neuromuscular junction which must be treated with a long lasting ventilatory support. Accomodation abnormality, pitosis, descending paralysis, dysarthria and dysphagia are the preliminary neurologic signs that help diagnosis along with anamnesis. Botulism intoxication in one of the two patients died before the diagnosis, is reviewed.
