Genel Müdürler Tarafından Benimsenen Liderlik Tarzları Üzerine Karşılaştırmalı Bir Çalışma: Mısır'da Bir Alan Araştırması

Sürdürülebilir turizm gelişmelerinin öncelikli amacı, genel olarak turizm endüstrisinde, özel olarak da konaklama sektöründeki insan kaynaklarını donanımlı hale getirmek olmalıdır. Kabul etmek gerekir ki, bir otei işletmesinin başarılı olabilmesi, insan kaynaklarının etkin yönetimiyle mümkündür. Örgütsel hedeflere ulaşabilme, otel çalışanları ile irtibatın kurulması, çalışanlar arasındaki işbirliğinin sağlanması ve üyelere yol gösterici olunması, yönetim süreçleriyle gerçekleşmektedir. Otel genel müdürlerinin önemli rolü göz önüne alındığında, otel yönetiminde, genel müdürlerin tam anlamıyla yönetsel rolleri ve liderlik tarzlarını benimsemeleri gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın başlıca amaçları, Mısırda bulunan beş yıldızlı otel zincirlerinde çalışan yabancı ve Mısırlı genel müdürler arasındaki yöneticiliğe ait farklılıkları ve benzerlikleri araştırmak ve liderlik etkinliklerinin seviyelerini tespit etmektir. Araştırma sonuçları, Mısırlı ve yabancı genel müdürlerin liderlik etkinliklerinin seviyelerinde ve liderlik rolüne verdikleri önem konusunda bir fark bulunmadığını göstermektedir. Ancak, genel müdürlerin benimsedikleri liderlik tarzları arasında farklılıklar bulunmaktadır.
