In the study, the immunostimulant effects of the methanolic extract of nettle (Urtica dioica) on non-specific immune response of gold fish (Carassius auratus) were investigated. Two different concentration of extracts (0.1, 0.5 g/kg of feed) were individually mixed with the basal diet and fed to gold fish for 30 days. At the end of the study, blood samples were collected from caudal vein of the fish to assess the immunomodulatory characteristics of nettle using superoxide anion production (NBT), lysozyme, myeloperoxidase and phagocytic activity. In the study all immune parameters were affected positively by dietary nettle extract intake compared to control (P<0.05). The highest level of the nonspecific immune responses were determined in the 0.5% nettle group (P<0.05). According to study results, it can be say that nettle extract is an effective non-specific immunostimulant for gold fish
