Günümüzde ders kitapları toplumdaki olumlu deiimi salamada kullanılan temel araçlardandır. Tüm dünyada örencilere bilgi verme, bilgileri düzenleme, örencinin kendi kendine örenmesini salama ve kiilik gelitirme ders kitapları vasıtasıyla yapılabilmektedir. Sosyal bilgiler dersi kitapları, bireyin içinde yaadıı topluma uyumunu salayacak bilgi, beceri ve deerleri kazandırmayı hedefler. Bu aratırmada 2004 yılı sosyal bilgiler ders programına uygun 4 ve 5.sınıf ders kitapları hakkında Kırıkkale örneinde, öretmenlerin görüleri incelenmitir. Aratırma sonucunda öretmenlerin ders kitaplarından büyük oranda memnun oldukları tespit edilmitir

Currently, text books are the basic tools used to achieve the positive change in the society. To inform the students, to put order the information, to provide the self-development of the students are accomplished by using text books. Social studies text books aim students to gain knowledge, skill and values to adopt the society which they live with. In this study, the views of the teachers about the text books which are in accord to 2004 social studies text program in Kırıkkale example are examined. According to the evaluation of the studies, it is determined that a highly percent of the teachers are pleased with the text books
