Tam Seramik Restorasyonlarda Yüzey Pürüzlendirme ve Polisaj

Seramik restorasyonların içeriği ve yüzey yapısı etkili bir bağlanma sağlanabilmesi için önemlidir. Hem hidroflorik asit uygulaması hem de aluminyum oksit kumlama, seramik yüzeyinde mikromekanik bağlanma oluşturmak amacıyla kullanılmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, dental restorasyonların yüzeylerinde bakteriyel plak retansiyonunun minimal olmasını sağlamak amacıyla da yüzey pürüzsüzlüğü önemlidir. Bu amaçla seramik yüzeyler için polisaj ve glaze gibi işlemler uygulanmaktadır. Ayrıca aşındırma ve polisaj işlemlerine seramik restorasyonların kenar uyumu ve okluzal uyumları için de ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı dental seramiklerin fiziksel, kimyasal ve biyolojik özelliklerini etkileyen yüzey pürüzlülüğü konusunda bilgi vermektir

Surface Roughening and Polishing in All-Ceramic Restorations

The composition and microstructure of ceramic restorations are important components in order to provide an effective bonding. Both hydrofluoric acid etching and airborne aluminium oxide particle abrasion have been used for micromechanical bonding on the surface of dental ceramic restorations. On the other hand, surface smoothness is also important in minimizing bacterial plaque retention on the dental restoration surfaces. For this reason, applications such as polishing and glazing are provided ceramic surfaces. Grinding and polishing are also needed to provide the ceramic dental restorative materials with proper fitting and occlusion. The aim of this review is to give information about the surface roughness of dental ceramic restorations which affects their physical, chemical and biological properties
