Anterior Mandibular Reconstruction by Autogenous Bone Graft Harvested With Piezoelektric Surgery

Autogeneous bone grafts have been used as a gold standard in reconstruction of the mandibular defects in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Bone grafts obtained from the ascending mandibular ramus have been used successfully in many clinical cases. Piezoelectric surgery is a new and innovative technique enabling to obtain safe and effective osteotomies in anatomically diffucult areas by preserving the soft tissues like vessels, nerves and periosteum by using piezoelectric ultrasonic vibrations. In this case, anterior mandibular reconstruction with piezoelectric surgery is described and advantages over conventional methods are discussed
